What Is Medicare Supplement Insurance?
This type of insurance, also known as Medigap, helps cover the cost that Original Medicare doesn’t such as copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles. It also offers coverage that Original Medicare doesn’t have like medical care when you travel outside of the United States. It doesn’t, however, cover long-term care, vision or dental care, hearing aids, eyeglasses, or private-duty nursing.
